Sabana | Rose Tonic Ritual

Sometimes we underestimate the power of rituals. These practices help to examine one's thoughts and feelingsThey are an invitation to self-discovery and impact our daily lives. Setting time aside to practice self-care can be the first step to improving your day.

In 2020, a year full of challenges and uncertainties, I found comfort in self-care rituals. Taking care of yourself is one of the best ways to care for others. Remember, everything starts at home.

I created this ritual to highlight the importance of self-discovery. These are some steps that will help to improve your experience:

    1. Click on this playlist, which I curated with songs that transport me to beautiful places in my mind. Relax and let the music take you on a journey.

    2. Turn off the lights. Take a deep breath; ignite "La Chispa" (matches) and light the candle up. Witness how the flame irradiates warmth & light. Let this be a reminder of the light and fire burning within you. 

    3. With the candle, burn a corner of the Palo Santo. Allow the smoke to cleanse & reset your energy. Now, as the smoke lingers, take a deep breath and connect with your surroundings. 

    4. Finally, use Sabana Rose Tonic as the first step in your skincare routine by spraying it onto a pad and gently sweeping it across your face & neck. Or use it as a toner by spraying Sabana Rose Tonic on clean skin and gently patting it with your hands to seal oils and water on your face. Let this be within the last steps in your skincare routine.

    I hope these steps will be a guide to making your skincare routine a ritual of love and reflection. Remember always to take care of your temple: your mind, body & your spirit.
